Orchard Street Mosque Project
Reviving our first home in the heart of Lincoln.
A legacy of faith, a future for our community.

Our orchard street mosque holds a special place in the history of Lincoln’s muslim community. As our first ever mosque, this humble facility founded in 1981 was the heart of our community providing a space for prayer, learning and unity for muslims all across Lincoln.
In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic forced it’s closure. Subsequently, the building was deemed unfit for use due to health and safety concerns. Since then, our first mosque has sat empty and is in need of restoration.
Help us revive our first home. Our restoration is underway!
Through your generosity, we have already raised significant funds for this project and restoration of our first home is now underway. The total cost for this project is approximately £330,000 including contingency costs.
To complete this project and make our first home a reality we need to raise the remaining funds within the next few months.
We are calling for
- 10 founding families: To champion the effort by each committing to raise £5,000 or more
- 20 supporting families: To strengthen our foundation by each committing to raise £2,000 or more
- 35 committed families: to form our core by each committing to raise £1,000 or more
- We need 35+ helping families to help cross the finish by each committing to raise up to £500
- Our wider community – we welcome donations of any size, every penny brings us closer to our goal
